Eligibility Criteria
To apply for this scholarship program, an applicant must fulfil this criterion:
- This scholarship program is only valid for girl students.
- The first year of a diploma or degree must be in progress for the student.
OR
- She should be enrolled in an AICTE-approved institution’s second year of a diploma or degree program.
- The student’s household income should be at most INR 8 lakh annually.
Note – Up to two girls of the same family can apply for this scholarship program.

Required Documents
- Students must submit a copy of the Marksheet of Cass 10 and 12 (which is relevant).
- Students must present valid income certificates issued by the respective State or UT Government.
- Admission letter to get admission in a degree or diploma course from the Directorate of Technical Education.
- Letter Certificate from the Head of the Institute.
- Receipt or copy of tuition fee.
- Copy of bank account statement and passbook with the Aadhaar card and applicant’s photograph, valid account number, and IFSC code.
- Attested copy of caste certificate (valid for SC, ST, or OBC candidates)
- Aadhaar card
- Declaration by the applicant’s parents confirming the information’s accuracy in the application form
How To Apply For the AICTE Pragati Scholarship for Girls?
If you want to apply for this scholarship program, here is the complete registration process for your convenience. Remember, you can only apply through online application.
Step 1: Go to the National Scholarship Portal’s (NSP) official website.
Step 2: Go to the ‘Applicant’s Corner’ and look for the ‘New Registration’ tab. Click on it.
Step 3: Now hit the ‘Click here for other Scholarship Schemes hosted on NSP for AY 2023-24′.
Step 4: You will see various guidelines on your screen; read them carefully, confirm your actions and click ‘Continue.’
Step 5: You must choose your state, domicile, scholarship category, scholarship scheme type (scholarship scheme), and gender, along with your full name, date of birth, contact number, and email ID.
Step 6: You must enter your valid bank information (Bank name, IFSC Code, Account Number).
Step 7: You must choose your Aadhaar Card or Bank Account Number to prove your identity and click the ‘Register’ option.
Step 8: You need to verify your contact number through an OTP.
Step 9: Now, you can sign in using the OTP and complete the application form.
Step 10: After submitting the form successfully, you will get an application ID and password, which you can use for future reference.
Note – Be vigilant while filling out the Pragati scholarship form; you cannot modify it once completed.
Terms and Conditions:
- To be eligible for this scholarship program, candidates must pass the exams.
- The scholarship will be renewed for the following year through the National Scholarship Portal. Applicants must, however, submit a passing certificate/mark sheet as well as a recommendation letter from the Institution’s Head.
- The maximum gap between the passing year and the admission session is two years.
- Only complete or correct applications will be immediately accepted. Authorities will only consider verified applications for this scholarship program.
- The candidates who failed or discontinued their education in a subsequent year will not be eligible for this scholarship.
Rewards Offered In The Scholarship
The successful applicant will get INR 50,000 per year under the Pragati Scholarship. Also, This amount will be paid to students each year for study and other similar purposes for a maximum of three years for first-year applicants and two years for lateral entry applicants.
Furthermore, the scholarship amount will be given in one go that students can use for various purposes such as paying college fees, purchasing a laptop or computer, stationeries, books, magazines, equipment, software, etc.
Note: Remember that this scholarship program will pay no other grant or stipends, such as hostel charges, medical expenses, etc.
