ONGC Scholarship is the CSR initiative by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited in education. The scholarship providers set certain criteria to be eligible to apply for the Oil and Gas Corporation Scholarship.

  • Indian Nationality
  • They must be currently enrolled in the first year of Engineering/Medical/MBA/Geophysics/Geology departments.
  • For Engineering/Medical, qualifying examinations marks should be 60% or more.
  • For MBA/Geology/Geophysics, they must have graduated with 60% or a 6 GPA/OGPA on a 10-point scale grading system.
  • Annual gross income for SC/ST students must be 4.5 lac/annum maximum.
  • Annual gross income for the General category and Other Backward Classes (OBC) must be 2 lac/annum maximum.
  • To continue the scholarship, students must maintain 60% marks in examinations.
  • Age of the candidate must not exceed 30 as of July 1st, 2023.

Selection Process

ONGC Scholarship is the Corporate Social Responsibility program of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited in education. It aims to uplift the marginalized societies of India. That’s why its main focus is scheduled classes and other backward classes.

It has also reserved 500 scholarships in the General category. The main chunk of this scholarship goes to marginalized societies. It is a merit-based and need-based scholarship. Distribution of Scholarships

2000 ONGC Scholarship is divided into the SC, ST, OBC and General Categories. It is divided to ensure the inclusion of all the sections of socially backward classes. And to ensure equitable educational opportunities across the underprivileged classes. That’s why these number of scholarships are further divided into these categories. Like based on classes, scholarships are also distributed stream-wise and zone-wise.

Each zone has a certain number of scholarships. Similarly, each stream possesses several scholarships that vary from category to category. About 50 % of the total scholarships will be given to female candidates.

ONGC Scholarship 2023 Renewal

Termination of the scholarship may occur due to poor academic performance. Later, if a student has achieved the required percentage, he can renew his scholarship. The procedure is simple to fill out the renewal form available on the website.

Terms and Conditions for ONGC Scholarship

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation scholarships have set certain terms and conditions for eligibility purposes. It is conditional for the continuation of the scholarship as well.
